Welltec Group closes £5.4m to enhance FinWellTech.

Welltec, a Financial Wellness Technology (FinWellTech) company, has successfully closed a significant investment of $5.4 million from Legacy Africa Capital Partners’ (LACP) Fund. The investment will help Welltec to further develop and improve its FinWellTech software that is specifically designed to create personalized and configurable financial wellness programs. This software can provide a valuable resource to individuals who are dealing with the complexities of personal loans during economic adversity.


LACP’s strategic investment in Welltec aligns with its commitment to supporting innovation in the financial technology sector. This investment highlights their trust in Welltec’s proficient and diverse management team. Welltec, established in September 2020, is a FinWellTech startup based in South Africa. The company’s founders, Johannes Jonck, Richard Charrington, Gert Jonck, and Obed Tongoane, have focused on automating the intricate process of restructuring consumer debt.
