Nigerian Missions In US Resume Passport Services After Technical Glitch

Passport services at Nigerian missions in the United States were previously hampered by technical challenges caused by a faulty server, which made it impossible to process biometrics for passport applicants. However, the issues have been resolved and passport services have resumed.

The Nigerian consulate in the US announced on its website that passport applicants scheduled for biometric capture from November 13th to November 16th will now have their appointment rescheduled for November 20th to November 22nd.

The affected applicants can come to the Embassy on any of the days. The change of schedule was due to an internet outage experienced at the Embassy. The source of the problem was fixed on Saturday, and the system is back and running fine, including all the centers in New York and Atlanta.
