Instagram has introduced a new feature to encourage user interaction within Stories by adding a comments attribute. This allows followers to comment on each other’s Stories, making the platform more community-focused.
Other recent updates include the addition of public comments, the ability to hide Stories unless followers send direct messages, and the introduction of music to profiles through a function called “Reveal.”
In addition, Instagram has launched Creator Lab to support the development of new talent, aiming to make the most of its growing feature set with an educational portal providing advice and resources for prospective producers.
These modifications are informed by feedback from younger customers, particularly Gen Z, according to Paras Sharma, Meta’s Director of Global Partnerships in India. To encourage more user participation, interactive tools such as “Add Yours” templates, “Add Yours Music,” “Frames,” and “Reveal” stickers have also been implemented.
These updates reflect Instagram’s focus on creating a more engaging and community-focused platform.
