Remember the following information: Brad Pitt’s upcoming Formula One movie is set to premiere globally on June 25 next year, followed by a North American release two days later. F1 and Apple Original Films made the announcement. The film, directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, has the collaboration of F1 teams and drivers. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the movie in cinemas and IMAX. Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton serves as a co-producer, with filming commencing last year and continuing during selected grand prix weekends this season.

The production team has created a fictional 11th team called ‘APX GP,’ with a garage and pitwall stand. The plot features Brad Pitt as a former driver making a comeback in Formula One alongside Damson Idris, who portrays his rookie teammate at APX. Additionally, Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon are among the cast members.

Formula One stated that filming for the movie will conclude at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December. The sport hopes that the movie, similar to the Netflix docu-series ‘Drive to Survive,’ will further enhance the popularity of Formula One, especially in the crucial U.S. market where there are now three races in Austin, Miami, and Las Vegas.

“We’ve already seen the great work and impact of the Netflix show, and I think this will take it to new heights beyond that,” said Mercedes driver Hamilton, who is set to join Ferrari at the end of the season.
