Apple announces fixes for two security vulnerabilities exploited in cyberattacks targeting Mac users

Apple, the American multinational corporation and technology company, has confirmed that it has addressed two security vulnerabilities that were being exploited in cyberattacks targeting Mac users.

This announcement came after Apple released its latest security update for all iPhone, iPad, and especially Mac users, in response to the threat of zero-day cyberattacks.

In a security bulletin posted on its website, Apple identified two vulnerabilities that “may have been actively exploited on Intel-based Mac systems.” These issues are designated as “zero-day” vulnerabilities because Apple was unaware of them before they were exploited.

The security warning indicated that these vulnerabilities could trick vulnerable Apple devices into processing maliciously crafted web content, such as emails or websites. This could lead to arbitrary code execution and the installation of malware on the affected device.

Apple stated that the issue has been resolved by implementing improved validation checks. The second issue involved a cross-site scripting attack, which has been addressed by enhancing cookie state management.
