Airlines That Have Suspended Flights Amidst Israel-Lebanon Conflict

Concerns over escalating conflict in the Middle East have led several international airlines to either suspend flights to the region or avoid affected airspace. Below is a summary of airlines that have adjusted their services:

 

AEGEAN AIRLINES
  • The Greek airline canceled flights to and from Beirut until Oct. 31, and to/from Tel Aviv until Oct. 6.
AIR ALGERIE
  • The Algerian airline has suspended all flights to and from Lebanon until further notice.
AIRBALTIC
  • Latvia’s airBaltic has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until Oct. 31.
AIR EUROPA
  • The Spanish airline suspended flights to Tel Aviv until Oct. 2.
AIR FRANCE-KLM
  • Air France suspended flights between Paris and both Tel Aviv and Beirut until Oct. 8. KLM canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until Oct. 26. Their low-cost subsidiary, Transavia, suspended flights to Tel Aviv until March 31, 2025, and to Amman and Beirut until Nov. 3.
AIR INDIA
  • The Indian carrier has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice.
BULGARIA AIR
  • Flights between Bulgaria and Israel are canceled until Oct. 15.
CATHAY PACIFIC
  • The Hong Kong-based airline canceled all flights to Tel Aviv until March 27, 2025.
DELTA AIR LINES
  • Delta has paused its New York-Tel Aviv route until Dec. 31.
EASYJET
  • The UK budget airline suspended flights to/from Tel Aviv in April and plans to resume on March 30, 2025.
EMIRATES & FLYDUBAI
  • Emirates canceled flights between Dubai and Beirut until Oct. 8, while Flydubai canceled the same route until Oct. 7.
IAG (British Airways & Vueling)
  • British Airways canceled flights to Tel Aviv until Oct. 7. Vueling has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until Jan. 12, 2025, and to Amman indefinitely.
IRAN AIR
  • Iran Air canceled flights to Beirut until further notice.
IRAQI AIRWAYS
  • The national carrier of Iraq suspended flights to and from Beirut indefinitely.
ITA AIRWAYS
  • Italy’s ITA Airways has extended its suspension of Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 31.
LOT
  • The Polish airline has suspended flights to Lebanon indefinitely.
LUFTHANSA GROUP
  • Lufthansa suspended all flights to Tel Aviv and Tehran until Oct. 14. Flights to Tehran will remain suspended until Oct. 26, and connections to Beirut are halted until that date as well. SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, suspended flights to Beirut until Dec. 17.
PEGASUS
  • The Turkish airline canceled flights to Beirut until Oct. 7.
RYANAIR
  • Europe’s budget airline suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until Oct. 26 due to operational restrictions.
QATAR AIRWAYS
  • The Qatari airline suspended flights to Beirut until further notice.
SUNDAIR
  • The German airline canceled its Berlin-Beirut and Bremen-Beirut flights until Oct. 31.
UNITED AIRLINES
  • United Airlines suspended its Tel Aviv routes indefinitely, citing security concerns.
LEBANESE AIRSPACE ALERTS
  • The UK government advised British airlines to avoid Lebanese airspace from Aug. 8 until Nov. 4, citing potential risks from military activity.

These adjustments reflect heightened caution as airlines prioritize safety amid the volatile situation in the region.
