Africa’s Biggest Trade Fair Lands In Algiers: IATF 2025 Is Coming

Read Time:1 Minute

The stage is set for one of Africa’s most important economic gatherings as the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) heads to Algiers. Organised by Afreximbank, the African Union, and the AfCFTA Secretariat, the fair has become the continent’s premier platform for connecting businesses, investors, and policymakers.

Since its inception in 2018, IATF has positioned itself as a marketplace where trade and investment deals worth billions are sealed. The last edition in Cairo attracted over 35,000 visitors, with signed deals surpassing $43 billion. This year’s edition in Algiers is expected to be even bigger, drawing global leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs eager to expand cross-border trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Experts say IATF is more than a fair — it’s a driver of Africa’s integration agenda. With the continent still trading less than 20 percent within itself, platforms like IATF offer practical solutions by linking African producers with new markets, showcasing investment opportunities, and spotlighting the creative and cultural industries.

For Algeria, hosting IATF 2025 is a chance to position itself as a key gateway to both North Africa and Europe, while reinforcing Africa’s growing relevance in global trade flows.

As deals, dialogues, and innovations converge in Algiers, the world will be watching how Africa translates ambition into action.
